For decades women have been taking birth control pills, mostly without serious side effects like dangerous blood clots, strokes, pulmonary embolisms, and heart attacks.
Along comes a Bayer-made birth control drug with presumably hip names (Yaz and Yasmin). Add sassy packaging and advertising which seduces women, especially younger women who flock to these newer more popular Yaz and Yasmin pills believing it would falsely relieve PMS symptoms.
But is newer better?
Probably not, especially since at least 3,000 women nationwide have filed Yaz lawsuits and Yasmin lawsuits against Bayer. These otherwise healthy women are the victims of blood clot injuries.
And so far there has been no FDA recall and Bayer recall. How many more women will suffer blood clots and other life threatening medical events while these birth control pills are still being prescribed and still paid for by most health insurance companies?
Bayer AG has the tagline—the brand you can trust—but really, can you trust them?
On one hand Bayer says patient safety is their top priority and on the other hand, Bayer says it will defend itself against these lawsuits.
Can Bayer AG have it both ways?
If you or your wife or sister has suffered a serious side effect like a blood clot from taking Yaz or Yasmin birth control pills, please contact Attorney Larry Coben to find out what your legal recourse is. You may be eligible to join with women across America to fight for rights and the costs to cover the wrongs of pain and suffering after taking Yaz and Yasmin.
